There are very few safety issues in treating unwanted hand veins, as just like in the leg there are many veins on the surface of the hands as well as deeper beneath the surface. Those on the surface can be safely treated without causing any significant problem. In the first week following treatment, a glove is applied in the treated hand(s) to minimise bruising and any minor swelling that might occur.

The veins on our hands get bigger when we get older because with age our skin gets thinner and the fat on the back of our hands fades. The veins will protrude and can make the hands look older.
